Hello everyone. I have a stainless steel upright smoker converted from a freezer. It caught on fire and the insulation in the walls and door melted. Can anyone help me with information on how to reinsulate it?

BUS, morning and welcome to the forum.....  Pictures would help.....   What was the original insulation....

RockWool would be a good choice for insulation...

I am building a fridge smoker and gonna use rock wool, home depot in my location has it.

Rock wool is what I used (brand name was Roxul), and I am very happy with it. I found it at a True Value hardward store that has a small lumber yard attached.
