Meatloaf on Sunday

Well decided to throw a meatloaf in the MES 40 today (sons favorite) and I do have to say it came out mighty tasty.

All set and ready to go back in the fridge until the smoker is ready.

Got the pellet smoker lit and ready to go, just doing the 10 minute wait after using the torch.

I put the this picture in to try and grab some help, I had the pellet smoker going just like the instructions said and when I put it in the MES 40 it went out and I didnt have time to mess with it so I just threw some pellets in the tray.

And here is the final product, some in my tummy and more in my container for work tomorrow. Oh normally there is a BBQ sauce that goes with the recipe and we put it on for a few mintues while we are letting it rest, but I wanted to try some gravy on it. Gravy on it was good also.

I'm not sure why your AMNPS went out - maybe you need to slide the chip loader out slightly. The meatloaf looks mighty tasty though!  drool.gif  icon14.gif

I have an AMNPS but my MES is a 30. I had to slide out the chip loader a bit to keep mine lit but have since done my version of the "mailbox mod" & haven't looked back...

SS,

Mighty tasty looking Meatloaf !!!

Don't put the AMNPS on the floor:

There's no air on the floor, plus drips will come down that slanted plate & drip on the AMNPS.

Put the AMNPS over the square hole in the plate.

Then put a foil pan on the floor under the square hole.

Put something above the AMNPS to protect it from drips.

Wash that drip pan & put it away.
