First time smoking Rib

Hi everyone again

 

After the success of my pulled pork I'm Now just trying some rib smoking for the first time - going for around 3 hours in this smoker....

 

 

 

then in foil and apple juice for maybe 2 hours and see what happens -then finsh on bbq with some sauce

 

Left rub on ribs overnight

 

Using my home made rib rack !

 

Bent some of the cross pieces up

 

 

 

 

Metal was a little thin and one broke but think it will do the job

 

Will post pix later of finished cook !

Now into the oven - with some apple juice - and wrapped in foil

On the BBQ for 10 mins with sauce after around 2 hours - nice smoke ring

 

 

 

Happy Eater - fell off the bone !!!

Thanks for all the comments - really pleased with them - know the 321 is more for St Lous and our ribs are a little small over here biggrin.gif but it seemed to work

 

There was a nice colouring in the meat from the smoke and tasted great - be doing them again soon !
