Just a heads up for anyone on here from the Louisville area.

It's their normal ribs in individual cryo packs.   Store I went to had a limit of 2 per person but we got creative with it.  Heard from someone else that their local Kroger didn't have a limit.     Stockpiled 20 racks in my freezer and thinking about picking up more.

Sale runs through tomorrow, while supplies last, yada, yada, yada.

You're so lucky!!!  Wish I could stock up like that, we never get those kind of sales around here.  Then again there isn't even a Kroger around :(

Kroger has been very nice to me over the past 2 months.  Boston Butt for $1.19 per pound, 1/2 loin boneless ribeye for $5.40 per pound and now this.

Really funny thing is that I stocked up on 12 or 14 Butts but am already down to 2.  Grabbed 14  1/2 Ribeye loins and only have 3 left.    With the Ribeyes, I was a nice guy and divvied some out to others who hadn't gotten in on the sale.    Who knows how long these ribs will last.

Great hear you got some great deals at your local Kroger. Its always great to find good stuff like that on sale and hope to see some smoke pics from you soon enough on them ribs! Have a great weekend and thanks for info on the sale!

Just a question I've had about Kroger meats. Most sales around here are a "select" grade. Is there a noticeable difference between "select" and " choice" ?

I've had some good luck at Kroger with some select cuts. Choice cuts have been better, but I haven't run into any shoe leather.

Last time I looked at Kroger the ribs were enhanced (packed in a salt solution)

Some think this makes them taste a bit hammy. YMMV.

Just a consideration.

Looked went up and picked up 4 more racks for tomorrow.  Checked the packaging, and yes, they are indeed inhanced.  That said, they've always come out being rather tasty.  Might be a case where non enhanced is "better", but enhanced is still more than acceptable.   @ $2 per pound, I'll live with it
