 Why not have both?   Ha ha way too cool!   I'd use it in the winter, nice to have the option of charcoal or pellets.

I haven't done it Red, just came across this concept while helping a buddy look for a pellet grill.... I believe he's getting their smaller pellet pro but they have kits to do other smokers. 

From reviews i've read it looks like it works great and you can turn anything into a pellet grill. I can see doing a UDS sometime for some extra grill space and when the winter weather is bad.  IMO nothing beats cooking directly over live coals but this is pretty damn cool.   Check out some of these pictures.
