I was just curious to see who still uses their chip pans in additon to ANMPS or ANMTS?
I know I still fill mine with apple chips and then Pitmasters in the tube.
I leave my chip pan in to keep the heat off of the bottom of the smoker... It's also more thermal mass for even temps.... Adding chips to adjust the flavor profile is a good thing... I add mesquite for a little bit of Texas in the flavor...
