New to the forum but not new to Smoking Meat.  I've been working my way through the recipes for at least a year, probably more. I'm hooked. While I have experimented endlessly and taught myself some things, everything else I've learned about smoking I learned here.  I have a Brinkmann electric that works remarkably well considering it was under $100 new. I put some fireplace rope around the door which helps a lot. I wouldn't even consider buying another one except that it is not wide enough for some of the things I want to try so I'm looking at Masterbuilt electric. No charcoal or propane, just electric.  I love the ease.  If they ever make a smoker I can connect to my stubout, I would consider that, maybe.

Thanks for the welcome.  I love the tips on this site.  For instance: I didn't know you didn't put your meat in a tray to smoke it.  I didn't know you just put it on the rack and let the drippings find a drip pan and become gravy.  I found that out on this site several months ago.  It's a good day when you learn something new about smokin'.  :)

Hey Taz!  Glad to hear you are learning already!!!
