Howdy All,

I am a rookie smoker here.  My dad got me into it after sending me all sorts of pictures of his smoking adventures.  Took a couple of gift cards from christmas to Basspro here in San Antonio and purchased a Masterbuilt XL Smoker.  Just finished putting her together today, and seasoned her this afternoon. 

My experience has been with Charcoal Grills and Propane grills.  Excited to see what I can do.

You will have a great time with your new smoker. It's a different animal all together than grilling. Way more fun especially once you start eating your smoked food. You should get hooked within a week or so..........
