After talking about getting a smoker with others for years (many years), my loved one bought me a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for Christmas.

I am hoping I can get some good results out of using it or my manhood will be in question. I have a feeling that the dog may be my best friend while I go through some "trial and error". He is hoping for a lot of error.

Plans? Rubbed, smoked baby backs would be the prize. Poultry, brisket, maybe steak.

I am here looking for wisdom, recipes and anything else that is free for the taking.

Standby for updates from me and the dog.

Welcome!!!!  There are alot of great guys around here and will help you out FAST when you get in trouble.  I would recommend something easy to start with.  Maybe some pulled pork and a fatty.  then work your way up into the long haul smoke of the brisket.  Good luck, you will be fine.

Where at in TX are you??
