It says it will fit.  I just don't trust anything made by that company due to quality issues. Lots of folks had issues with his smoker  .

The same unit made by another company for the 22 is $135

I hear what you're saying, just trying to stay "cheap."  But there's a difference between "cheap" and "blowing my money" :) .

I have two Weber 22.5" grills to experiment with... one was left behind by the previous owners of the house, the other was purchased by my wife for me a few years ago.  I've been a propane fan, but I'm slowly starting to try new things.

Is the company you mention Cajun Bandit?  If not, whom do you recommend?

I'd be wary of that site.  I'd look on Craigslist for WSM and Weber to see if you can find some deals on the WSM.

Will it work?  Probably.  But I'd just use the 22.5" to smoke instead of buying all that stuff.  It can and has been done successfully.  That way you can save your money for the real thing.

That and the new 18" Smokey Joe coming out this fall and you've got yourself a pretty nice rig for right around the hundred dollar mark. I say go for it. I may give it a whirl myself.
