A MAN OF MY WORD. TESTING THE A MAZE N SMOKER TODAY. I WON THIS FROM THE JULY THROWDOWN AND TODD SENT 2 LBS OF OAK PELLETS TO TEST IT OUT. PUT ON A RUBBED PORK BUTT ROAST. IM TESTING ON THE GAS GRILL. BASICALLY SO I GET SMOKE FROM THE PELLETS ONLY. NO CHARCOAL. SO THIS IS THE ULTIMATE TEST. IF I GET GREAT SMOKER QUALITY TASTE THEN THIS WILL GET 5 STARS. FILLED WITH OAK PELLETS AFTER I DID A 30 MIN BURN ON THE GRILL EMPTY TO RID IT OR RESIDUAL OILS. THEN LIT ONE END WITH A BUTANE TORCH AND LET BURN FOR 3 MIN TO PRODUCE COALS.

AFTER THE COALS GOT HOT I BLEW OUT THE FIRE. THIN BLUE SMOKE. THATS WHAT WE LIKE TO SEE.

THE RIGHT BURNER IS ON MED AND THE MEAT IS TO THE LEFT OVER A COLD BURNER. INDIRECT HEAT. THE SMOKER IN THE MIDDLE.

ok im really having a hard time not typing a cuss word. this is slicker than whale sh*# in an ice flow.

at 124 degrees after 2 1/2 hrs. and keep in mind this is a normal gas grill being used like a smoker with med heat from the right burner only. cooking at about 230-250 deg. the pellets are just rounding the first curve. should smoke for another 6hrs easy.

5 hrs. at 173. pulling off. wrapped in foil tight wrapped in towel and in a lunch cooler for a few hrs.

ok twice during the smoke i injected this thing with garlic and herb cajun injecter as well as a slosh on top.

here it is at 5 hrs at 173 degrees. looks as good as any true smoker smoke. i cant wait to try it.
