A friend of mine and I have been searching for a decent stick burner for a while now. It is hard to find a decent on for less than a couple grand! We were looking for something on a trailer with plenty of capacity, reverse flow and not in need of a ton of work. I finally found one on Craigslist on Thursday and drove to Chicago to pick it up on Friday.
We power washed it out on Saturday and sprayed everything inside with Pam on Sunday and fired it up to season it a bit and kind of learn it's quirks. It went really well, we brought it up to about 260* F, then throttle it back down to 225-230 and were able to maintain it very well. I can't wait for my first chance to smoke some meat in it in two weeks. I plan on smoking around 40lbs of Boston Butt and maybe about a 15lb Brisket for my daughter's graduation party. The smoker might be a bit overkill for this event, but we need to break it in and learn it well. We have signed up for a small town competition in August, so we need to learn quickly!

Got it cleaned up and firing it up for the first time Saturday.
He didn't have a rack for the smoke box, so I had to jerry-rig it with parts from my WSM 22.5".
Well, there she is. I plan to cover the open area in front with more diamond plate and put a rack around that area to store firewood and charcoal. The trailer is back-heavy right now. Takes about 30lbs of pressure to push the tongue down and I need to balance it better to make life easier with hooking it up, unhooking and towing.
