is any body out there having trouble with the mb vert chip/chunk pan getting to hot with embers and causing the temp to spikedidnt think i was useing to much would it is what mb recommended but it gets to hot half way though any fixes out there. thanks

In my Master Forge which is smiler to your Master Built I use a combo of chunks and chips with a bit of lump added in. The only time I get temp spikes is if the wood catches fire. Since I have started placing my chip pan on top of the rails I haven't had any flare ups. Try moving your chip pan a bit higher.
