Smokehouse that can hot smoke/cook

Thanks for all the input on my upcoming smokehouse build! I think I may have the solution. I had a discussion w/ my machinist buddy last night during "Happy Hour" around the ole wood stove. I didn't realize aluminum and stainless steel both come in 4x8 or 5x10ft sheets. Aluminum melts at 1800F and stainless is almost indestructable. He has a buddy w/ a press that can shape and cut the sheets to fit the interior of the smoke house. He can get it at his cost. Should have prices later today. I'll let you know how it plays out. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Aluminum will be way cheaper. Should work for the smoke chamber. I wouldn't use it in the firebox though.

Make sure you are sitting down when he gives you the price and hold onto a table . This stuff has skyrocketed

Now I would recommend the sheet metal it's cheaper and will do the job just fine.
