Pastrami/Short Rib Hash (Q-View)

Start with some medium sized potatoes. Boiled for 15 minutes.

Peeled the skins off 2 of them. Saved the rest in the fridge for frying at a later date.Had some pastrami sliced already and a leftover smoked short rib.

Diced everything up. Including some onion.

Started frying the taters and onion together in some butter with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Did a quick chop of the meat in my little Cuisinart chopper.

Once the potatoes started browning I added the meat with a cup of water and simmered for about 15 minutes.

Ready to eat.

It was awesome. Best hash I ever had. And so easy.

Thanks for watching.

Nice work -- and your right, very easy!!

Unless your camera is off, those taters look a little green.  Exposure to light or sun causes that I think, although it doesn't affect the cooking attributes all that much except for purists.

Great looking hash.  Nothing like some home made hash!

Good luck and good smoking.

Thanks. The taters weren't green. Poor lighting. Depends on the time of day.

Thanks. Any leftover beef product would work. The mix if the strami and short rib was pretty damn good.
