AMNS in Masterbuilt XL?

Thread Starter

This is my first post on this wonderful forum. I received a Masterbuilt XL as a Christmas gift from my kids and have yet to use it due to the first one being damaged and the replacement just arrived. I hear a lot of good things about th AMNS. Can it be used in a propane smoker and has anyone used it in their XL. I have been keeping up with the XL mods and have my list ready to go. Thanks.

Welcome to SMF. There are a lot of very friendly & knowledgeable folks here to help you. I urge you to sign up for the free E-course. It will give you the basics. Then start asking questions. Good luck & glad to have you aboard. As for the AMNS, they can be used in any smoker or grill.

I talked to Barry today and told him to fire up his new rig and try it with chips or chunks before committing to buying an AMNS.  A guy has to figure out how it works before making improvements.
