    First UDS build and first smoked chicken

    I just built a UDS this past weekend and tried my first EVER smoke. I have pics but don't know how to post them.   I had a 5 pound supermarket chicken and put it in brine over night and then smoked it yesterday at 275-300 for three hours.  No rub. No Sauce. No wood.  Just used Kingsford...

    Not a smoker yet but

    I'm ready to start.  Thought bacon is too expensive at $7 per pound or more so I thought I could make some myself.  Probably won't save money but it has opened a whole new world for me.  I will make a UDS next week and will try to smoke a chicken or maybe some spare ribs.
