    Firebox size reduction? Fire brick??

    I need ideas... My volume in the fire box is about 40% over recommend . On my first smoke last Sunday I went through about 50 pounds of charcoal/lump combo. I contribute this to the oversize.. It was a 9hr plus smoke. If I bring the FBI size down to recommend will this really reduce fuel that...

    Anyone ever build a microprocessor based thermometer ?

    Has anyone ever built a microprocessor based thermometer ? PIC based? I'm thinking probes imbedded in the CC plates, and at lease three random Hanging and of coarse a few probes for the meats? The Prop from parallex is a very powerful microprocessor and I have used it before? Thoughts????

    My First smoker... 120 gal reverse

    This was my first smoker... Got the tank in exchange for trimming up some Palm trees. 90% finished. Need to add a few details here and there... This week-end I will attempt my first smoke!!!!

    Hello from South Florida!

    Just finished (95% compete) my first smoker build. A reverse flow from a 120 gal propane tank. Looking forward to using the advice and experience of this great forum! Maybe someday I will be able to give back. But for now, I'm the sponge... Soaking up anything I can!
