    What Kind of drum?

I usually pick them up for $10-20 by searching Craig's list or googling wanted ads in my area (Pittsburgh). $26 seems steep for a used drum to me, but any port in a storm will do if that is all you can find. Spring for the lock ring, I love mine.

    Drum burnout..

I pay to have my drums blasted whenever I do a new build. It is the best money I spend!

I use high temp spray paint. You can get it in the big box stores or a paint store. Black has worked best and silver worked well too.

    What Kind of drum?

I buy lined food grade barrels and have them sand blasted. You could go that route.

    My UDS

Drilled my intakes today and began a rough pre assembly to make sure I like the setup. I'm having trouble getting the conduit lock nut to actually lock by myself, keeps spinning on me. Any tips for doing it solo or do I need to grab a second person to hold a pipe wrench while I tighten?

    My UDS

Hello everyone. I can officially get started on my UDS build now that my drum is back from the sandblaster. It was a 55 gal. steel drum that contained apple juice concentrate. $45 saved me from having to do a burnout and wire brush to get the tan liner out of the inside. She looks fantastic...

Can't Find a Good Drum Source

Try a dairy farm. Some bottle juice and get it in the 55 gal. drum.

    New - Pittsburgh, PA

Hey all, Just stopping to introduce myself. I'm a newbie to smoking, but want to take the time to do it right. I'm in the Pittsburgh area (about 40 minutes north) and teach for a living so I've got tons of time to enjoy smoking and want to get more serious with it. I've already done the 5 day...
