We BBQ everything in Australia. Sometimes we BBQ veggies haha. It's just smoking meats and jerky that no one seems to be interested in. Hopefully as word get out it'll start to take off.
What's the best way to store jerky? I find mine is getting a glossy 'film' on it after a few days in an airtight container? Should I add rice or vacuum seal it?
Thanks!!!
Hi everyone. I'm Jono from Sydney. I'm new to smoking meats. It's not very popular in Australia. I'm finding it hard to locate products like Jerky Guns and meat slicers but I'm making do with what I have. I'm really happy with this site and have learnt heaps already.
Cheers guys
Hi. I'm from Sydney, Australia. I'm new to the smoking meats world. I've made a few batches of jerky so far but I'm unsure of the best meat to use. Also I was going to purchase a jerky gun. Are they good? Is the jerky brittle or is it the same at cut strips? Thanks everyone. Love the site.
