    Does anyone know of a way to put a propane fire starter in a fb with an ash pan? I have heard of people drilling holes in pipe and inserting that in the fb. My concern is it getting stopped Up by the ashes from burning wood. I would like some type of setup that I can leave in there all the time...

    Ok so use 1/4" on the inside and then like 1/8 for the skin on the outside of the mineral wool. Would u guys go thinner than that for the outside skin or would u stick with 1/8"?

    Here is the new jewel that I bought today. The tank measures 42" in diameter and is 96" long. I would like to build this smoker as a reverse flow. I want at least 2 sliding racks. I am going to use 5" exhaust. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    They definitely told you right. Sometimes a stall can be agonizing and take forever. If u want pulled meat, just get internal temp to 205. If ur pressed for time, you can foil to get thru the stall. Does anyone have a link to something that will help me calculate enough food for 50 ppl?
