    Yes it is reverse flow. We have made a few changes, there is a second rack now that slides and put a 2" valve on the bottom to clean out.

    Ok I think it needs no paint just a fire built cooking oil on the inside and out and a pork butt put inside, with some thin blue smoke out the stack. I like it!! Great job.

    That is a way nice find on the tank. The fab and weld work is great, put some meat on that thing and lets see it work.

    This is going to be the third smoker we have built, it is just a hobby that we enjoy. It will be reverse flow like the other two, we started out building that way and it seems to work.

    No disrespect taken, I do things I should not all the time. Safety should be your main concern. Your points are very valid and more safe than what I proposed. One question, what does the exhaust do?

    We pull all plug out of the tanks, build big fire, tie rope to tanks, and drag into fire with four wheeler. In turn burn off all paint and propane residue. Then fill with water and cut door, if nasty inside build fire in the tank after door is cut. This is how we did this in the past, no...
