I have 4 of those white nylon or teflon cutting boards from Sam's club and I stupidly left them outside on my rusty trailer. Does anyone have ideas on how to get rust stains off of them.
I'll try to post a pic later but think expanded metal pattern in rust stain.
I hate to toss them and buy...
I wanted to post this here so members and those who haven't decided to join or not could read it.
Thanks this great bunch of folks I was able to make that walk to the stage in front of hundreds of pro, semi pro, and amateur BBQ teams yesterday and pick up an 8th place overall trophy! We...
I'm cooking in my first competition next weekend at the Hog Wild Festival in Mobile, AL. I'm uber excited and nervous all at the same time.
Does anyone know where to get the cutting mats like I have seen the pros use on BBQ Pitmasters??
Pics from the event to come!
Wish me luck boys and girls!
So I'm posting this just to vent mostly. My brother and I decided to have a little rib competition Sunday in honor of Labor Day and also to celebrate his youngest's birthday. So he purchased 14 racks of baby backs and had me come over and pick up half. We each marinated or rubbed the night...
Sorry to post double, but need some help.

Found a classified ad for this Brinkmann smoker in the paper used. The lady was asking $125.00 for her. Included all the original parts - rib rack, hanging hooks, skewers, etc. If anyone has this unit or experience with it I'd love to hear.
As always - Thanks for a great forum!

Well we christened up the new rig yesterday. This is a reverse flow that I basically stole from my friends dad. They used to have a BBQ joint in town, but shut it down several years ago. I found her rusting away in his back yard and since he treats me like one of the kids I walked away with it...
Thought I'd pass along a pic of my latest aquisition. Sorry for the shotty cell camera picture.
I picked up this rig from my friends dad for $250.00. Couldnt pass it up. His name is Chuck so I'm thinking of calling it the "Chuck Wagon" in his honor.
It has at least a 4 inch pipe with holes in...
After reading everyone's advice I finally got at least one mod done on my Smoke n Pit. My brother is a welder so he whipped this out in a flash. It made quite a difference though. Next I am going to put some flashing down in front of the heat entry way to help from charring some stuff towards...
Sounds weird, but I need to cook 6 slabs for a lunch party on Sun and thought about smoking them for the three hours the night before then wrapping them, put them in the fridge and take out the next morning to put back on the grill for a couple hours to finish.
Any thoughts, experience, etc...
I've been reading the forums since the summer of 2007. I'm a Bama Boy who has lived on both the east coast and Vegas. Now I'm back in Bama (Mobile to be exact) and try to get my low in slow on every weekend that the wife will put up with it. I'm an absolute fanatic for any and all types of BBQ...
