Please help, can't get Inkbird ibt-6xs to connect to BBQ Go app.

I mean every time I look at it and think about buying it, while I like the esthetics of the unit and the 6 probes, I remember the reviews. At least it wouldn't be as big of a disappointment as spending $1,500 on a pellet grill and having a crap controller, probes, and sketchy app. I wanted the...

Please help, can't get Inkbird ibt-6xs to connect to BBQ Go app.

How do these things get such good reviews, when out of over 100K downloads, the app scores a 2.7 out of a possible 5 stars? A bbq friend, stated to me, that the app, "had to be designed by some mongoloid kid in the poorest possible area of China, with no BBQ experience". Makes me worry about...

The IBT-6XS is one that I saw before. Anyone have it?

Dry & tough brisket! Why me??

Are any of those off brand, wireless sets of 4 to 8 on the old Amazon any good? Or what brands do you pros use? I mean, I spent $1,500 for a grill, another investment won't hurt me at this point. Hell, I just got on a short list for initial release of an at home dry ager for $2K+ (I hope I...

Dry & tough brisket! Why me??

Well, I will say, that I tried to abide by the temp, but I was not trusting of the temps that were showing. My pellet grill shows 3 temps, grill, probe 1 and probe 2. Now I know the point is thicker so it won't show the same, but in about 4.5 hours time, the flat was showing like 165 and and...

Dry & tough brisket! Why me??

Is there any way of "fixing" a brisket once it's dry as $h!t? I did my first brisket on my new grill this past Sunday. I separated the flat and point, because I wanted burnt ends also. I had a commercial size lasagna pan filled with water. Pre-trim and separation, it was 16.8 pounds. I...

I'm going to assume being outside all year round. I use it year round, so I'm not going to store it in the garage. It rusted very easily. I'm just glad that I went with the non-digital version both times. Still a waste of money if you live in a winter climate like me, in my opinion.

Yes, it died. Thanksgiving morning, got up early to turn on, went out an hour later and was at zero on the door thermometer. Outdoor outlet worked fine, and the light on the controller was lit up orange as usual, but nothing. Odd too because I just used it the night before to smoke salmon as...

    $800+/- Budget

Thanks. I definitely like the Rec Tec, but would have to be the Stampede for me. The extra cooking area doesn't seem to be worth the premium additional expense between the two. I like the GMG stainless wi-fi David Bowie, as lots of features/bang for the buck, and the fact that they offer the...

Nice! I'm a buyer and we source our beef snacks and jerky from Ohio. Gold Rush. All I know is guys in the automotive world love it. I'll have to use the old Google and look at insulated types. I didn't know they existed outside of being custom built.

I should also add, that I cook/grill year round and I live in Wisconsin, where currently it is 27° but 13° with wind-chill

Definitely new, as I don't want someone else's problem; when they're good they're keepers, no? I could do another cabinet, but I would like to get the Weber off the patio. I know pellets are cheaper than pucks, and some of the reviews on the Bradley Smart smoker were bad. I know Traeger...

    $800+/- Budget

I need recommendations please. So after going through my 2nd MES, I think it's time for something semi-pro. So I'm saying that my budget is $800, but if there's some sort of all-inclusive package, I could go higher. So, I need brands, models, reasons, and links. The more tech savvy the...

    Need Some Vent Help

Ordinarily I wouldn't, but knew since I was short on time, that in this one case, more was needed. I always prefer low and slow. I made sure that I only had white smoke rolling.

    Need Some Vent Help

Totally worth it. Without them, my A-Maze-n pellet smoker box would not stay lit. And yesterday with high heat and lit at both ends, I used a full 2/3 of the loaded pellets instead of 1-2 inches like previously.
