Just modified my landmann by adding defuser plates and a basket so it's time to try a brisket.
8lb flat from Costco and the wood was mesquite. I foiled at 160 and removed it at 205 and placed it into a cooler to sit for a few hours.
Half was amazing the other half was just ok slightly tough
I have 5 lbs of round eye between 2 pieces. I was thinking of pulling both - take them to 165 wrap with beef broth then pull at 205
But I was thinking can I make burnt ends with one of them?

So today is a cloudy 65 degree day and no rain so I am going to fire up my new landmann offset. I have 3 racks of ribs with the rub on already sitting in the fridge.

Old smoker next to my new one. The new one is a landmann from Costco. I will be doing a lot of mods to it. I ordered gasket and I sealed it up already with silicone. I am gonna build a new basket since my old one is too small for this one and I'm ordering the tuning plates for it. About to fire...
Can't find much info on landmann 594115. They are $300 at my local bjs and thinking of grabbing one today. I will mod it out of course. Anyone have any thoughts on it?
