I have been in the hospital last 21/2 months, and I am so glad to be back. However I l won't be able to do any meat smoking for another couple of months or so.

I have not heard of your smoker. I have a master built 40 inch electric smoker, and when I smoke meat I set the temp. at about 260 degrees to 275 degrees depending on the size or amount of meat. and preheat it and add the wood chips,and open the vent which is on the top to about half way. I...

I would like to thank each and every one for the welcome. I would also like for every one to know that even though I have been smoking meat for years, there so many thing I do not know about smoking meat.
About the only types of meat that I have smoked is spare ribs, brisket, and turkey...
I have tryed several store bought rubs, but most are just too spicey for me. So I make my own that is not so spicey. And I like to experiment trying different spices to see how I like, and see what others think of the different rubs that I mix up.
I would like to join the Oklahoma Members, I just joined the Smoking Meat Forums today. I live in Norman, Okla. I have been smoking meat for several years, And I try different thing just about every time I smoke some meat. And I am still learning every time I smoke meat.

I live in Central Oklahoma, I have been smoking meat for several years. I built my first smoker from a 5' water softener tank, and it was about as big around as 3ft. I laid it on it's side and welded pieces of pipe for legs, and cut 2 doors in it. I built a fire in one end...
