    New Pellet Smoker

I am in the market for a new pellet smoker. I am really leaning toward a new silverback. I like the warranty that comes with it and I like the price point. I am open to any and all comments and other brand suggestions. I would like to keep the grill purchase under $800. I have never had...

    14lb Thanksgiving Turkey

I have a MES 30 and I want to smoke a turkey for thanksgiving. I'm going to brine the bird overnight. My biggest decision is to spatchcock it or not. I need to have dinner ready around 430. So I'm not sure if I should leave it while or spatchcock it. Thoughts on how long each method would...

    First rib smoke question

I have been smoking St. Louis ribs today. This is my first ever attempt at smoking anything I have a MES 30. After the 3 hours I pulled the ribs and they looked great. I wrapped them in foil and added a foil sauce. After an hour and a half I took them out of the smoker. Painted them with BBQ...

    First ribs

Put the St Louis ribs on the smoker about a half hour ago at 230 degrees. Smoker is holding good temp but the smoke coming out of the vent has tapered off. I put a cup full of apple chips in the pan and had great smoke at first. The vent is wide open. Thoughts?? Thanks

    Newbie question

Just purchased a new Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker. I was planning on smoking a couple racks of baby back ribs tomorrow for my first smoke. However the store only had St Louis pork ribs left in the cooler so I got them instead. My question is should I use the 3-2-1 method or the 2-2-1...
