Worked like a charm guys, thanks for the help! We don't get real deal smoked BBQ around here so this was a special treat for most of the people and they loved it. The beans were a smash hit too. Everybody wanted to know the secret ingredient to everything but the only "secret" is time. Slow and...
Excellent, thanks Squib! I plan on serving the pork with a vinegar finishing sauce. Does anyone see a problem with that? I've heard acids and metals don't play nice sometimes. Also any advice on keeping it moist? Some apple juice maybe? I've never had to reheat a big batch like this before. I...
Thanks for the tour Squibs, I love that kind of stuff! Man your bar is gorgeous with the matching trim and bar stools. That looks really sharp with the lighting you have. Speaking of lights I love the new patio lights. They are perfect for the space and I love the pattern they throw. Nicely...
I'm in the process of cooking for my son's grad party on Saturday and had a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. My part of the menu is pulled pork with smoked beans so I'm making everything in batches ahead of time. My MES 30 will only comfortably fit one large butt and a tray of beans...
Hey good luck! I just got an MES 30 this year too but haven't tried ribs yet. Done a couple chicken smokes, a pork butt, and completely ruined a perfectly good chuck roast on it so far. Have some chicken at home right now that will go on tomorrow. Seems like a great smoker so far.
I love my Weber, just used it tonight for the second day in a row. It's soooo much easier than my old one and clean up is a breeze. My old one was so much trouble I rarely even used it, now I use my Weber all the time. Definite game changer. A buddy told me his trick of closing all the dampers...
Oh boy, went a little crazy yesterday. Went to a couple nurseries yesterday to get a few things and then stopped by Lowe's to see if they had anything. We hit the clearance rack jackpot! Two hours and three shopping carts later we had 40+ perennials and roughly the same number of annuals for...
Thanks Sqwib but I'm far from a master gardener. Like most things I get by more on effort than ability. I had to stain everything this year too, no fun. I built the fence and pergola three years ago and let it season for a year before staining it but the wood up under the roof didn't get dry...
Now there's a man after my own heart! You sound just like me Sqwib, always too busy working in the yard to run the smoker. Story of my life. Nothing good comes easy so if you want the nice yards you put in the work. Yours looks great, you've done an excellent job there. Im the same as you...
