Can you smoke in the rain

I've just got a new smoker and am getting frustrated by all this rain!  My question is, can I use the smoker in the rain or will this be a bad idea? I've got the smoker on my balcony and don't have anyway of sheltering it at all so it will get wet! Thanks Paul

    I'LL SHOW YOU MINE IF....

It was actually just a shop bought ham which my parents had got for Christmas (I'll go the butchers from now on).  I put on a rub of light brown sugar, funnel seeds, dried sage and garlic cloves.  Bring a complete amateur I could only get the smoker up to 190 degrees for the first few hours...

    Getting the temperature up!

Hi,  I got a Pro Q Smoker for Christmas and have smoked a few things already! I have had a bit of trouble getting the temperature up and stable.  I wanted it at 230 degrees but could only seem to get it to stay at 190 for 4 hours.  Then after that it shot up to 240. Are there any good tips...

    Hello from the UK!

Hi All! I was lucky enough to get a Pro Q smoker for Christmas and am now on the hunt for more information about how to smoke better!  I've already smoked a ham which tasted great so very keen to carry on and smoke some more soon! I'm sure I'll be back on soon with some questions :) Paul
