I was born and raised in south Georgia, but have been in California for the past 20+ years. I'm 69 yrs. old & have been smoking meats for the past 6 yrs. I use my own rub and BBQ sauce most of the time. My favorite meat to smoke is pork ribs, but also smoke other meats. Right now i have two tri tips on the smoker. I grew up on BBQ pork and other great southern dishes and always wanted to be able to smoke meats. If i was about 30 yrs. younger i would open my own rib shack, but i let too many years go by for that. I look forward to discussing BBQ with the other members.
