Hello there, I'm newer to the forums but not to smoking, but I'm definitely enjoying it more! I've owned 3 smokers in the past and am on #4 now...a gas MasterForge which I really like. I combine my smoking hobby with my Dutch Oven hobby and come out with some very tasty meals! I look forward... -

Thanks again for the tip! $1.19/pound here in Central IL. I bought 9 of them over two shopping trips....smoked 4 (along with 3 chickens for the neighbor) and froze the others whole in FoodSaver bags until another weekend smoke. Tom -

Dutch Oven Restore and Beef Stew
Very nice write-up on the restore of your Dutch Ovens, they look fantastic. Cast iron is very forgiving if you treat it nicely. :) I used the grill instead of the self-cleaning cycle of my oven only to keep the fumes outdoors. I simply put the grill on high and let it go for about an hour...- ondarox
