I have a TS250 and it’s fun to cook on. Start out with 20 lbs of charcoal to get it going with and bring up to temp. Then just add wood to keep the temps at 225 to 250, I normally add 2 solid chunks of wood at a time. This being about 6 inch around by 16 inch long. I usually have the draft open...
If it was me I would just keep a small fire and use the normal cooking chamber. I would think it would be easier to control your fire and temps this way. I have a TS 250 and love it. I do not have the live smoke warming chamber so I cant help with using it at all. I would keep all the grease and...
Well there are many smokers out there and I looked at all I could over a 1 year period and ended up with a Meadow Creek. It’s a TS250 which is bigger than you would be looking for but they do make them small in size. It’s a RF stick burner and works quite well. They make a TS 60 and 70 which is...
This was quite an interesting read and going back and forth on different smokers. I have a Meadow Creek TS 250 smoker and really like it and it cooks very well with all the different meats I smoke in it. I will add info as to why I picked Meadow Creek. The 250 was the size I wanted and would...
If your on Face Book there is/was a Big Green Egg group there also for more info on them. I don't have one but have enjoyed reading what they had to say there in the past. Give that a try.
You can’t go wrong with a Meadow Creek either. It has a slide in shelf that you can use to grill on that you were looking for. I have had my TS 250 for 3 years now and absolutely love it. You would be looking at the TS 60 , TS 70 or the TS 120 by the sounds of what you’re looking for. They are...
I have to say this is one of the most lop sided reviews I have ever seen. You are comparing a SQ36 to a Lang 48 patio. To start off the SQ36 is an ENTRY LEVEL BBQ non RF smoker and the Lang 48 Patio is a RF smoker, big difference. That’s like comparing apples to oranges. Also the cost $$$ of...
Nice !! You will really like the smoker and its $375.00 less without the warmer. I sent an e mail to Marlin at Yoders to see if one could be built and he said sure.My smoker order went to them and the unit was shipped from the factory in PA to me.If you have any questions when you get yours let...
Call Lavern or Marlin at Yoders Smokey Mountain BBQ and see if you can get the TS 120 without the warming box. 877-602-1568 or [email protected] . I would think you should be able to get one built with out it.
I think you can have the TS120 built without the warming box if you don’t want it. I have it on my TS250 and use it more than I thought I would. It makes a great place to keep other foods warm before a party. They do make a push model TS120 without the warming box . I hope this helps you out...
I purchased a Meadow Creek TS 250 over a year ago and really like it. One thing I will say Is Meadow Creek builds a quality product. I have cooked ribs, chicken, turkey, pork loin, wings and meatloaf on my cooker. The temp really holds well on my cooker in hot or cold weather. The coldest I have...
I have a Meadow Creek TS250 that I bought last year and love it. They are like you said, built very well. I cooked all winter long with it and the temps were down to 20F and it held the temps just fine. It did burn more wood but when up to temp it ran just like it would when it was 80 out. So...
