    Lucky day for me.

Thanks for the replies everybody. I am looking forward to using this. I forgot to mention that the guy even included a few partial bags of wood chunks inside the smoker. Some hickory and some apple.

    Lucky day for me.

About a week ago I was visiting with my father who works at the town recycling center for his township and a guy walked over by us and asked if either of us wanted what he had in the back of the truck. Always curious as to what treasures some people bring in there, so I walked over to the back...

    Hello from Wisconsin.

I should be all set with the 2 fridges I have to be converted. I think if demand ever rises enough that those 2 smokers cannot smoke enough then I will build a smokehouse. Who knows though, I might get some of the locals into building a fridge smoker too...lol.

    Hello from Wisconsin.

Thanks for the welcome.... I am actually located a little South of Antigo, down between Bowler and Mattoon. I travel over to Wausau a bit, all depends on how often the GF needs to go to the DR. I heard about the balloon and rib fest, just never called them before regarding setup because until...

    1950's Crosley Shelvador build

Nice build thread. I recently picked up 2 old fridges. One is a GE and the other is a Crosley Shelvador. Basically posting so I can refer back to your thread as a reminder to make a spot for the sausage like you have done. Nice work and I like that red with the gray.

    What year fridge is this??

Thanks RabbitHutch.. Well at least age is part of a guesstimate. When doing my google search for this fridge, I came across this youtube video and in the comments, the age ranged quite a bit, even back to the 30's...  That is why I was curious about it, not that I would be calling GE for some...

    What year fridge is this??

The fridge is a General Electric Type B6-40-B according to the label in the back. I tried a google search and found nothing. Anybody have any idea or at least close to what year it was made? I also have a Crosley shelvador but no pic right now of that one. Thanks, Matt.
