    Undecided on which one to buy for longevity and performance. This unit is not going to see extreme use but use on deer meat,pork butts for sausage etc. Is the extra expense worth it for the LEM as it is about 100.00 more.     I know about the problem with galvanized and heat but does anyone use one of these for a smoke stack on a electric smoker as I have one and want to use a stack on windy days for my MES 30 and is it even worth putting a stack on the smoker at all.Thanks for any input.

    Dave thanks for the quick reply,so you are saying that it is the total weight of fluid and meat as I was under the assumption that it was for the weight of the meat and not the marinade.
