I tried posting pics a while back but it wouldn't work on my phone. Beer can chicken and 2 slabs of St. Louis ribs (1 foiled and 1 not). These were the first things I have ever smoked and was just hoping they would be edible and provide a starting point. Ribs turned out real good. A bit...
Finally got something smoke on my wrangler offset. 2 racks of SL ribs and 1 beer can chicken. My wife made sime mede cilantro/lime dressing for grilled slaw. 1 rack wrapped and 1 not. Rubbed them down with butter then a rub blend that I probably toyed with a bit too much but was still pretty...
Well. I'm in Law Enforcement and a gun guy. No greater pistol shooting pleasure than a well made 1911. There us also a Chris Knight song called "Love and a .45". FireAndA45 sounded mire appropriate for a meat smoking call sign!

Another thing learned since coming to this site. The local joint in my hometown never took the membrane off. This is the BBQ I still compare everything else to because it was all I knew for several years growing up. Ribs were never fall-off-the-bone tender but were never tough either. I like...
I have been looking at several smokers and had just about narrowed things down to this and a Weber 22.5 kettle because I also wanted to cook steaks at a high temp. Your post might just have sealed the deal on buying this model! Great product in that brisket!
Stumbled across this page while researching a new smoker purchase. I've grilled for years but am just now getting into slow smoking. Thanks to this page, I quickly ruled out a "combo" unit due to durability issues. Gas convenience, charcoal/wood flavor, searing for steaks and a flat top...
