Just had a quick question about how many wood chunks I should plan on using. I found some info on a big green egg and how much to use for it but seeing as how there's much more space in a 55 gallon drum, I wasn't sure how many chunks I should go through in about 10 or 12 hours
Does the meat get mushy leaving it in the cooler this long? I'm kind of in the same situation and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to end up with mushy pork.

I decided rather than throwing my injector away, I'd try to fix the problem first. I ended up ordering a new silicone o-ring for the inside of the injector for like 2 bucks on Amazon and that seems to have fixed my complaint with the stainless steel...
I've went through two of them in about a year. The first one i bought was just on a whim at a local place and it was made of plastic. After a couple uses, i made the mistake of running it through the dishwasher. It ended up getting a huge crack in it after 2 washes. You get what you pay for...

On an unrelated note, has anyone tried sealing their door area with RTV sealant? It won't be in the actual smoking chamber, I just wanted to keep so much smoke from escaping through the gap between the door and smoker.
