Can anyone help me out with a sweet rub for babybacks? I have Jeff''s Naked Rib Rub and it is great, but I have a few that thinks it is to spicy. If someone could help me out it would certainly be appreciated.
Butt and ribs turned out excellent. Have a post-Butt and Ribs-First Smoke-in the Pork section. Fiberglass insulation is good. Build took me a couple of weekends-couple hours a day. Worked really good.
Those ribs turned out excellent and Jeff's Naked Rib Rub RULES! The butts came off and were put in the oven. Butt, no pictures because everyone was so hungry after smelling them for so long, they got pulled and made into sammiches. Yummy!!!! Very happy with my smoker.
This morning we fired up the freezer/smoker conversion for our maiden voyage in smoking. We have a couple 4 lb Boston Butts and a rack of Babyback's. We used Jeff's Naked Rub recipe on everything. Have a few pic's of the wares before entering the smoker, and some of the beautiful smoke, and one...
Thank You very much for the info, the BB's I picked up are real meaty on the top side of the bone, didn't know if there was extra meat/fat in this area that needed to be trimmed.
Well, I got the burner put in. It is an Afterburner C-burner that runs on propane.
Got the aluminum installed on the door.
Got the propane line hooked up and seasoned it up today and ready to do a Butt and some BB's tommorow. I tried to get a picture of the smoke coming out of the stack.
Hi guys, getting ready to smoke a rack of BB's tommorrow for my daughter. Was wondering if there is a pictorial on trimming them to get them ready to smoke? Any help is appreciated.
Finally got to work on my smoker today. Got the angle trim put around the door opening where the plastic trim was covering the fiberglass insulation.
After that, I cut a hole through the roof and attached the smoke vent. I used a starter collar the I had to modify a little. Hooked it to the...
I got 16 ga aluminum from a friend who owns a sheetmetal business. He had some pieces left from various jobs. I got two pieces for the inside of the freezer door plus pieces bent to cover the edges where the plastic was removed and 1/8" aluminum bent at 90 degrees for shelf brackets, grand...
Well my daughter and I ripped out all the tubing, shelves, and plastic trim on this old Montgomery Ward upright freezer. I was worried about reclaiming the freon, but when we got into the demo, 90% of the lines were rusted right through. The guy we picked it up from said it was still working...
Ok guys, really need some help. Actually for my Pops in Florida. He called tonight and said his horseshoe club is having a cookout. The guy in charge of purchasing the food, is buying bone in pork chops. This cookout is for 100 people. He knows that trying to cook that many porkchops is a...
