WSM Maiden Voyage

    Today I finally had the chance to try my new WSM. I'm trying the minion method with a smaller load of charcoal because I don't need the longer cooking times.

    First mistake I made was not letting the smoker get to temperature before I added the food and it took awhile to get to cooking temperature. Now I am settled in at 250 degrees and it's looking good.

    I need to remember that the vent are hotter then my CCSV which I could adjust without gloves. After 2 blisters I think I am learning :)

    Couple early views included, 2 turkey/chicken meatloaves, one with a little Sweet Baby Rays Honey Chipotle in the mix. Stuffed peppers are done.

    Meatloaves are almost done. Have a turkey breast still going, injected with fruit juices, seasoned with garlic and onion powder. It's at 145 degrees. Just threw on an onion and a few portabellas.

    That looks really good! Didn't think about the bell peppers. Might try to put my grandma's stuffed peppers on the smoker.

    Where would I be without all of you??? Besides thinner I mean...[​IMG]

    ron, that is some choice looking grub. looks real purty on the plate. prob as good on the palate. you guys are going to force me to try some peppers!!!! great job!!!
