what is the difference with...

  1. corned beef and pastrami?

    is it the spices?

    is it how you cook it?

    tomato, toMAto?

    simply, corned beef is not smoked.... once you smoke it, you get pastrami

    as was stated, once you smoke corned beef WITH a rub of at least black pepper and corriander.....then it's pastrami.......I make alot of pastrami and corned beef here out of bottom round roasts!!! [​IMG]

    Italian Pastrami also has crushed juniper berries in the rub. [​IMG]
