Most people will cook there butts between 225-300*. And will cook to about 200* internal temp for pulled pork. It usally cooks about 1-1/2 to 2 hours per pound. Be patient and you will be happy there are many ways to cook a butt and it's pretty hard to screw up so bad you won't eat it. Good luck!
 
3 2 1 is for pork ribs. Butts take longer unless you break them down into smaller pieces. There's tons of threads of others doing them! Use the search engine to research this...
