    Can you use the roots of fruit( Cherry) or any other tree?

    I don't see why you couldn't, never thought of it. I assume they require a pretty long seasoning time though.

    Duh, totally missed the word roots. [​IMG] I would still think they'd be ok though...

    I have used mesquite roots and see no reason why other woods would be any different.
     
  7. I used the roots from an apple tree we had cut down a couple of years ago. It took a VERY long time to season the roots, but they worked fine.
