The "Show Me" state
Here are some pics of a smoker from last year, that came by the neighbourhood church. Yes they are indeed Big Rig Freightliner stacks, and they shine like crazy in the sun! He built the thing from a propane tank mounted on a backhoe trailer. He has two stainless steel countertops in the corners. Along the length of the smoker on the backside- not in pic- is a drawer that slides out giving him an additional tier for barbecuing or smoking, wfor longer periods while he grills smaller stuff on top.

He runs a catering business that specializes in pecan smoked meats, and will be my source for hickory this summer.

By the way, I have transitioned from the ancient film-utilizing camera equipment to the modern age (YAY!) and have apparently successfully mastered posting them....a suitably proud moment for me *grin*

Nice looking rig...love the dinner bell idea. I could never have anything that high off the ground...I'd probably get a few cold ones in me and take a header off the deck!
