Third time I had to register. Hopefully everything is worked out and forum is up and running strong. I have been smoking for around 2 years now on a smoke vault 24. It works great but I am ready for something a little bigger. I am starting to build a smoker out of a 38 inch diameter x 61 inch long fuel barrel. Racking my brain trying to figure if I want the firebox on the side of the barrel or copy a diamond plate and mount it on the rear??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I plan on using a 2 foot square wood stove for a firebox, I think that should be sufficient. I also plan on building a warmer or additional smoker on top of the fire box.

Glad the forum is back up and running and I will post pics of the build when it is a little further along.
