Hello everybody. New to the forum but not to smoking. I have a 150 gallon pull behind stick burner, a Masterbuilt Sportsmen's Elite 40in propane smoker, and am currently working on an UDS...Can't wait to get into some discussions with many of you.

Forgot to post where I'm located...Mims Florida. The Space Coast.

Welcome! I'm a noob here, myself. That Masterbuilt looks like a lot of smoker for the money. I see a lot of people swear by their UDS, and it's probably the sensible thing to do. Vertical makes so much sense.

I'm vulnerable to the lure of a horizontal offset smoker. I think it's because it vaguely resembles the original barbecue pit: fire here, meat in the middle, drafting chimney over there.

Are you able to see launches go up from Mims?

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a sunny and hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Griff Joe, yes you can see them from here. I'm right across the indian river from the space center. I worked on the space shuttle for 15 years and the Orion space capsule. I am currently working on support equipment for the new rocket that will launch the Orion space capsule.
