I bought 3 small Boston Butt Roasts that weigh about 2 1/2 lbs each. I am going to fix them tomorrow in my 36" GOSM. From reading the threads I will smoke them at about 230* till the internal is about 200* then take them out to pull.

Others on here say it takes about 1 1/2 hrs per pound which would be 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. My question is, will it take longer if I have 3 in the smoker instead of just one. I know "they will be done when they are done." However, I want them for lunch so I'm trying to figure out how early to start. BTW, how long should they "rest" or down to what temp before I try to pull them. Thanks.

It won't matter if you have 3 or 30. Well, it would if they cooled down your smoker and it couldn't keep up, but it really won't matter.

Let them rest for 1.5-2 hrs. They will still be very hot when you pull, wear gloves of some kind. (I used leather gloves the other day and that helped a bunch.

If you smoker temp reads 230* then it will be close to the 1.5hr/#.

BTW, I think it is better to smoke a day a head then reheat, just tastes better to me.

    Good luck

Try not to consentrate on time it'll mess you up every time! Temperature is the important thing here. Give yourself serveral extra hours incase it hit the plateau. Although they are so tiny I wouldn't expect it's last to long. Good luck!

Pulled pork gets better with every reheat I think!
