24" smoke vault capacity?

    i'm looking at getting a 24" smoke vault myself (as if i need one more smoker [​IMG] ) and have searched alot of post and threads and can't really get a good handle on the capacity of this smoker. if i had 7 to 8 lb butts how many will it hold, and using rib racks how many would each rack hold.
    how many butts per rack. any help would be great thanks ahead of time.

    Sorry I missed your questions. The Smoke Vault will hold a lot of meat. I have done six butts at one time with room for at least three more. Don't know about the ribs as I've only done three at a time. Hope this helps.

    thanks for the reply ,it does help i would like to be able to do about 7 spares using rib racks and about 4-5 ya think that might be possible? and how do you like yours?

    I really like my SMV. I use it all the time. With the proper arrangement of the meat, I don't see a problem with doing the amount you desire to do. I tried to post a pic of mine with the butts in, but I got something screwed up with my copy and paste again.[​IMG] Good luck.

    thanks alot for the response bassman i'm trying to find where i can actually look at one fairly close by,and if you get your pics working i'd love to see some action shots of it. thanks again

    Just to give you an idea of the capacity, here's a couple of pics. As you can see, there is a lot of room in the 24".

    hey this is exactly what i've been looking to see thanks so much for all the help i sure am leaning towards getting one of these they look like a nice smoker and from all i've been able to read alot of others think so as well. thanks again

    Smoking 6 pork butts in the SV is very impressive.  I assume the large pan under the butts is for your wood chips?  Approximately how long did it take to smoke these babies?
