For the love of Smokin' this is wonderful.  I must say I've re 'kindled' (yes pun intended) my desire for smoking meat as I used to do this years ago.  Time and new position has afforded me the opportunity to get a 1/8" steel (homemade) OFB 28" smoker someone didn't want.  I've been reading the mods and have started in hopes to have seasoning completed this week so I can start with a beer can chicken and wet mop ribs.

I"ve been taking pics of the cleanup / mod and I will have questions.  I've really enjoyed reading the forums...

Thanks,

O'Brian in Virginia.

First off welcome to SMF there O'Brian. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Frosty,

I posted the results, so far, in the Smoker forum.  Take a look to see the results.  From the looks of smoke coming out of the firebox i'll need to use some fiber rope around the door to create a better seal...

Thanks,
