Wings and Stars???

Wings fans it's beginning to look like our teams are heading at each other pretty quickly. I was sure hoping the Av's would take you to 7 but it's looking a lot more like a sweep :) I've said for a long time my favorite team(s) is the Dallas Stars and whomever is playing the Avalanche. Anyway, just wanted to start the thread and see who shows up...

Got to get that 4th win before talking about the conference championship. Stars ain't there yet either. But that said it's been a while since the Wings and Stars met in the playoffs and the Dallas time zone is much more favorable.

Actually when the game got lobsided I thought it might get nasty but the Avs had nothing left. Your down 3-0 and have to beat a team 4 times in a row that you haven't beaten all season. And even if you do pull out game 4 you have to fly all the way to Detroit to take a thrashing and then fly home beaten anyway.

Yeah, it was REAL quiet here in Denver today. Well, I'm not sure I jinxed the Stars or if they were just real tired. I tend to think its just tough to close out a series anytime. We'll see what happens tonight. I still stand by the fact that 2 teams in the last 66 yrs have come back from 3-0. Of course this is year 33 again so we'll see I guess.

However, there are questions to be answered for either team.

How does a team beat the RedWings. Some thoughts that were tossed out today.

1) Shoot Franzen in the head, or break his leg. Do whatever it takes to keep him off the ice.

2) Don't let Det go shorthanded. IF they take a penalty...Decline it!! They're as dangerous or moreso shorthanded.

3) Give them Nerf Sticks.

4) Make them put Hasek back in net!!!

number 4 will deffinately do it! God I hope they don't put him back in. Ozzy deserves to ride this out, He has saved the playoff series for the wings.
I hope wings get the stars in the playoffs! Thats all I am gonna say about that!

The wings have so many weapons, and the puck control is amazing!

I would also like to mention my other favorite team. The Tigers. They are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, after a laughable start. Starting out a 0-8, and now their record is 14-15. Thats a hell of a comeback. Lst night they swept the Yankees in a 3 game series in NY.

Watching the Stars right now ... and seems the refs are trying to eliminate them with bad calls (or that's the way I see it!!)
I'm hoping for Stars and Flyers in the cup finals!!!!!
Can't stand Detriot or Montreal, and love both the Stars and Flyers.
The wife is a Penguins fan, so I'm sure we'll need a ref in our living room with they meet in the East Championship.

FYI ... Blues will bring the cup home next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
