Where Can I Get Stuff

My dh has agreed to build me a smoker. I believe we have settled on a double barrel smoker (after much heated discussion). I have access to the drums I need. But where can I find all the other goodies inexpensively. I.e., the smoke stack, the doors and the collars between the two barrels. I have seen you can purchase these things online, but what fun is that. My husband can fabricate many things, so what type of material is best if we want to make our own? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Check your local salvage yard if there is one in your area. I've worked as a fabricator for over 20 years and walking into one of those is like walking into a candy store LOL.
