I've given up even on Dukes. Pricing is insane. I'm now using a Savealot brand called Kurtz @ $3.99 and it's every bit as good as Dukes. Trust me, I don't say that lightly.
We have that brand here too. I tried their "sweet baby rays " and it isn't bad at all. I'll try the mayo if things get stupid here. More so now that you said it compares to Dukes.

Big bulk discount at Costco, $5.99, $3 off regular price. We just keep the big one in the beer fridge and fill up the squeeze bottle.

.... fill up the squeeze bottle.

I hate doing it, but I pay the big prices for the small squeeze bottles because of the aggravation of re-filling a squeeze bottle. So how do fill a squeeze bottle with mayo from a large mouth jar? You can shake it out to fill a ziplock bag, zip it closed, then cut a corner and squeeze it out through the corner. But that's a lot of work for anything other than an occasional small amount for camping. And ziplocks aren't cheap.

Just looked at wally world, Hellmann's 15oz jar $11.99, Kraft 15oz jar $3.98. That's quite a difference here

We have a wide mouth squeeze bottle, Spoon it in. Use the large container when making Cole slaw and chicken salad. Ziplocs are not that expensive when buying in Costco bulk.

Thanks, but Kids have trouble with the large squeeze bottles...although it could be an intermediate transfer vehicle. It's about monthly I think of something I simply must get a 3d printer for....now it's making a squirt top with threads to fit a large mayo jar!

Or just save an old lid and drill a hole in it. The plastic walls on mayo jars are pretty squeezable.

Hellmans and Best Food the same company.
At our local Kroger med size of Best Foods $8.
Dukes not available out here.

Elections have consequences.
High transportation costs.
Diesel went from $2.49 to $5.99 over the past 3 years.

That's a lot of it, getting product from A-B

Everything is crazy high now. What Dive Bar said is exactly the point. None of it is an accident.

The 48oz Dukes is running $7 at our Walmart.

Wife and I went out for dinner last night for Thai food. Even though the entrees run from $14-25, with an app and 1 beer and 1 glass of wine we dropped right near $100 with my usual 20% tip. This is a 4.8 out of 5 star place and they were not even half full.

Saturday evening/night, the area looked dead. Parking lots of popular places nearly empty. I dont know if there was something going on we didn't know about around Charlottesville, but I've never seen traffic so light. Even out where we are away from the city, I remarked that I have never had a more clear drive as far as traffic that I can recall...on a Saturday evening. It was weird, almost COVID era-like. I dont like crowds of people, so its all good for me, and we can still afford a $100 dinner for two once in a while, but it made me wonder if the lack of people was due to economics.

I keep baker's piping bags on hand for stuff like this. We dont use squeeze bottles for mayo...no children here. We do use a pampered chef offset spreader which has changed in shape and size so we cant even get them anymore. They really help getting mayo from the jar to the bread or wrap or whatever. I also downsize mayo to smaller wide mouth (Reused Kimchi pint jars) jars so we're not having to dig way down to the bottom of the larger jars, which are aggravating because no one has smartened up enough to package stuff like this in jars that dont narrow at the cap. This to me is "brain cells 101" but those dont exist out there for the most part:emoji_confounded:

It’s a grocery store issue, not a mayo issue. I buy everything possible at Costco Where it’s bigger and cheaper. Kroger and Safeway just bend us over for less product.

Plus with the executive membership the 2% pays for the membership cost easy. The one closest to me has booze too!

+1 to that! Costco sells a bouillon in a short but wide lid jar that's perfect for leftovers. Mayo jars are shaped like a beer bottle

The closest Kroger to me has been running Duke's on sale for$2.99/jar for a couple of weeks now which is half price. Nowhere near what I think it should be, but the best price around and we use a lot of mayo. Wife just went there this past week and reloaded our cabinet with 5 jars...
